One Semester Down
22:39My first four months of life as an American are up! Honestly, in those months I've made some of the best memories of my life with friends that I will have for a lifetime and longer. We all came in to apartment 104 not quite knowing what to expect, but it turns out that muddling through your first semester of college together is a pretty good foundation for friendship, and I have learnt a whole lot from them and their testimonies.
I had to work harder than I ever have before in my classes which sent me in over my head a couple of times, but in the end I also achieved grades higher than I've ever managed before so I guess it was all worth it, just like everyone told me it would be. Having said that, hopefully my winter semester classes will go a little easier on me...
The most important things that I have learnt so far have been about my own testimony and faith in Christ. Attending a university where I can learn about the gospel in my classes is pretty much the coolest experience ever, I have a lot to learn from teachers and students alike who have incredible relationships with the spirit.
This year, my goals are to work even harder on my classes and grades, to study the Book of Mormon and keep a journal with it, and to cook new things! (Last semester's diet consisted of a lot of pasta and pizza rolls). Those of you back home, I think of you often and cannot wait to come and see you in April. Until then, bring on 2016!
