A Trip Down Beauty Lane

09:15

I haven't had any particularly good blog post ideas of late but today a made a few purchases so I thought I could do a little write up. I only bought these today so I can't offer an in depth review for all of them but this is what we've got:

So this will be my first experience with Topshop makeup but I've heard so many good things from online beauty gurus and such that I've been desperate to try. I went beyond my comfort zone on the lipstick front and picked up a nice bright corally shade ready for spring, this one is called 'Ditsy' and I think it's super pretty. I've had it on for a few hours now and it's stayed on well so far and hasn't dried out which makes a change.

The other Topshop item is a kohl liner in dark brown which I think is called 'Sable' but I'm not actually 100% sure. I needed a brown eyeliner so I figured I'd give this a go, it goes on really easily and is nice and dark. I haven't tried smudging it out but I've been told that these are really good for a smokey-eyed look if that's what you're going for.
Sidenote: The packaging for these makeup items is so beautiful it even feels lovely Yummy.

Now this is about my third or fourth tube of this incredibly, deliciously perfect concealer. One day I went into Boots because I had run out of concealer and this is the one that was recommended to me by the nice lady. Since that day I have not looked back. I buy it in shade 1 'fair' because I have very pale skin and also because I feel like light concealers also highlight a little... I don't know that actually happens or not. I do get compliments on my skin sometimes and trust me I owe it all to this little tube.

Finally we have the slightly irrelevant Lush purchase. This is here because I simply cannot resist the Lush store when I go to the shops. I just got the 'Yuzu and Cocoa Bubbleroon' a) because I like bubble baths and b) because this smells insane. I honestly wish I could send you the smell of this through the screen. Seriously, go to a Lush shop and smell this! Fab-u-lus.

That is all for now, I'm quite impressed with how fast I follwed up my last post, usually my gaps are about 6 months long. Whoopsies. Catch ya' later
