Where I live, we are quite sheltered from vicious weather which can be a blessing but also means that we always miss out on the snow that the weatherman reports for the rest of the country. It gets frustrating. HOWEVER, for a good couple of weeks, pretty much everyone has been talking about the predicted snow and finally on Friday, it actually came and despite much doubting (sorry Mr Weatherman) it did settle. It started at somewhere around 6 am and by the time I was halfway to school the ground was thickly covered, quite dangerous when you're as clumsy as myself who had already fallen over once.

Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to fully appreciate the snow as I spent most of the day attending a beautifully carried out but obviously emotional funeral. Although it did brighten the cemetery and everything looked beautifully peaceful.

A little more is still due so fingers crossed we'll get another white layer.
